John Martin Lead Pastor Pastor John has been involved in ministry work for over twenty years. After graduating from Jackson College of Ministries (Jackson, MS) he evangelized for six years, preaching all over the United States and the world, before returning home to Muncie. He briefly served as Assistant Pastor at River of Life (formerly Parkview Apostolic Church) before becoming the Lead Pastor in 1994. During the time of Pastor John's leadership at River of Life, the church has experienced notable growth and enjoyed tremendous success in many areas. His personal passion and vision for the church is characterized by an unrelenting emphasis on prayer, personal evangelism, and revival. Pastor John is also the Lead Pastor of River of Life Indy, a startup work in the Castleton area of Indianapolis. Additionally, he serves as Presbyter of Section Three of the Indiana District, United Pentecostal Church International. He also serves on the steering committees of various influential revival and leadership conferences. Pastor John is also very active in world missions work and has personally preached at many venues abroad during trips to seventeen different countries. To this end, he currently works on the "Africa Team" for South Africa, a committee involved with planning preaching crusades on the African continent. River of Life shares Pastor John's burden for missions and is laboring together with him in the Indianapolis work and the forthcoming founding of a new church in Capetown, South Africa. Pastor John has a beautiful family. His wife Kendra (formerly Dyer) is a former Christian Life College (Stockton, CA) student and is very active in the ministries of the church. They are blessed with three children; a son, Riley, and and two daughters, Reagan and Rhen. 
Kirk VanOoteghem Executive Pastor Pastor Kirk's primary responsibilities at River of Life include assisting the Lead Pastor with the administrative and operational oversight of the church and providing counseling services. Prior to becoming the Executive Pastor, he served River of Life in several roles. He has also served the Indiana District, UPCI in various capacities over the years. He is the creator of MarriageMoment.org - a website that provides free marriage information and resources. Pastor Kirk holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Education, History, and Religious Studies. He enjoys studying, teaching and writing, especially in the areas of doctrinal studies, leadership, church administration/organization, counseling, and apologetics. He is also accomplished in the field of Information Technology. Pastor Kirk is a committed husband and father. His wife, Tammy (formerly Caldwell), is a former Jackson College of Ministries (Jackson, MS) student and is active in the ministries of River of Life.
